If there were a network that alternated between Duke tourney losses and footage of Tim Tebow being flayed with broken glass, I’d never leave home.
LSU fans today.
Fantastic thread over at the Tiger Rant--Remembering Tiger Fans we've lost →
Great thread remembering LSU fans we’ve lost who’ll be cheering the Tigers on from the best seats in the house. My grandfather died in 2006, and he was one of the hugest LSU fans in the state. He loved Billy Cannon, and always talked about the good old days listening to the games on the radio out in the car because the car got better reception. I went to only one LSU game with him, when I was too young to enjoy it, back in the 90s, then I went to LSU myself. He got really sick in the 2000s, but he lived to see the 2003 title. At that point, though, he couldn’t remember much, and really couldn’t even remember that he loved LSU most of the time. But I know he’s absolutely loving this decade, and he will finally have great seats at a Tiger game and won’t need his binoculars this time. Geaux Tigers! Forever LSU!
Tomorrow we’ll discover what our God in Heaven has in store…one more dawn…one more day….ONE DAY MOOO-OOOOO-OOOOOOOOOREEEEEE!!!!!!!!
GAMEDAY TOMORROW. THE WAITING IS FINALLY OVER.
LSU’s Golden Band from TigerLand plays halftime at the New Orleans Saints-Detroit Lions game Saturday. I love this. It makes me feel like Louisiana is one big family. And if you listen to how many people in the Dome know every tic and chant of the crowd participation steps in the pre-game show, it’s even more clear how much overlap there is between the fan groups! GEAUX. TI. GERS.
This painting is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. I need a poster of it to hang in my office STAT.
Geaux Tigers
Every time someone texts me, I get a tiny spark of hope that it’s someone offering me a title game ticket. And every time it isn’t, a tiny part of me dies.
